Old Mining Town
04:42
|

Well there she goes again without her coat on
She’ll catch her death of cold racing out on those roads
But she’s riding the waves stop her if you could
So looking from this window i wonder if i should
Now father he’s sobered caught sight of her lad
Though he can’t see that she’s gifted the good lord
Put youth in her hand
Now we sit at the table we remembered how we met
That nervy young tradesman right at my doorstep
Now see I’m not wearing no frown but the years they add up in these old mining towns
Daughter dearest she comes back way past her time
And father he’s stayed up to give her a piece , a piece of his mind
Now theres shouting down stairs he’s caught sight of that ring
She’s to young to regret that little wedding bell dream
And those bells they echoed down the streets which she grew
I stood looking out me and her father we knew
That she’ll grow old in the town which she grew
So see she’s not wearing no frown but those years they’ll add up in these old mining towns

Modern Time
06:42
|
|||
Somethings they change, the trade dried up hard
As a fishermen then with that money stretched well to far
She left just last night, saying the cage has grown thick at the joints
I spend all my time at the harbour point
I say is that a crime it reminds me of a simpler time
Cornwall was young both youth on our sides
And never a grey day ,yet somethings the change
yes they change,
with time.
So leave now my love, with that last kiss
you walk on eggs shells a true taste of bliss
So i sat by’e harbour and the duchy screamed my name
As we watch the last young man fish out what’e can
And i tell’e they won’t stop, till the last pennies caught
I know they won’t stop
Cause its not a young man game , its just the young mans turn
On our grey day
So i tell’e somethings changed but i think it might be me
This modern time bares nothing ta me
So i tell’e somethings changed and i think it might be me
This modern time it see’s me on my knees
It see’s me on my knees
You see I’ve worked off these docks for most my life
It supported a family, gave purpose to my life
You see its a generation thing i followed my families way
For the very blood thats flows through my veins
See you can catch yourself caught dreaming away of those days
Perk up and you’ll find your in the same place
But this day its drawn down into an erry close
It will wash the young smell from beneath your nose
So what i sight this must be, to still see me perched at this point
Waiting for the tide to shallow in the night
And i light rain it falls down on my face
This is it
This time
a decision must be made.

Tempest
02:40
|
|||
Boarder me up son but please bring me some wine
Tonight i dine on this unholy of time
So run along now but please save your family
When this ship goes down ill take that devil with me
Now along from each other the tempest he's arrived
With the wind whistling wildly across the face of these skies
This ship is me brother , my only family
So i look into his eyes I'm taking that devil with me
With me at sea
With me at sea
So i cannot see the things that i least desire
But right now in front i see the face that drowns in fire
And i want to sink his growing smile
He wants to sink mine to
So he stands up he says to me
Let us devils sink at sea
At sea with me
At sea with me
So boarder me up son but please bring me some wine
Tonight i dine on this unholy of time
So run along now but please save your family
When this ship goes down ill take that devil with me

The King of prussia
06:36
|

The Coming days they're getting closer
Their anxious eyes will meet our light
Tale catch wind we will hold our silence
For the smugglers eyes they tell none
That evening comes the coastline calls us
Honest men that night will change
The faithful fail to see a future for themselves
so a wreckers cry grows in their bones
And with me by their side
All before forgiven
In the tunnels that we may trail
The king of prussia he will prevail
We sit now a sin to shallow
But patience brings it grand reward
For the smugglers eyes
the wreckers cry
This coming day is getting colder
the anxious eyes meet our light
Tale catch wind we all will hold our silence
west barbary calls on a wrecker night
